CB Gold is committed to developing its projects in a sustainable and responsible way, working closely with the local communities in which it operates, understanding their needs and building transparent and strong relationships. This responsible approach to community consultation will enable CB Gold to provide the appropriate support and investment, targeting social, economic and environmental circumstances which can benefit directly and indirectly the population and stakeholders of the areas of operation.

Current Social Activities

Industrial Safety and Environmental Management Course

In 2012 CB Gold through its wholly owned subsidiary Leyhat Colombia Sucursal entered into an agreement with SENA (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje - National Education and Training Service Authority), in order to provide basic and certified courses to its employees and the Vetas community.

On August 5, 2012, the Company presented the first certificates to 218 people who completed the Industrial Safety and Environmental Management course. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Vetas, the Regional Deputy for SENA, the Police Chief of Vetas, as well as by the community. CB Gold, in conjunction with SENA, is developing additional courses towards earning a Professional Technologist in Industrial Safety designation. 40 people are currently enrolled in this program, which we anticipate will start by the end of August, 2012.

Vetas Posadas

CB Gold was major sponsor in the preparation of advertising material for fourteen Posadas in Vetas. The Posadas can currently receive up to 60 guests.
